After turning over odds-on favourite Voler La Vedette in the Galmoy Hurdle at Gowran Park this afternoon, Zaidpour has been cut to 12/1 for the World Hurdle at Cheltenham.
StanJames.com spokesman Rory Jiwani says, “Zaidpour got first run on Voler La Vedette and held on well to take the Grade 2 contest. We were 20/1 about Willie Mullins’ inmate for the World Hurdle before the race, but we’ve had to cut that to 12/1.
“Unlike second favourite Oscar Whisky, there is little doubt he would stay the trip at Cheltenham although it looks like a battle for second place behind the mighty Big Buck’s. Paul Nicholls’ star goes for his 15th consecutive win in the Cleeve Hurdle on Saturday.
“We’ve left Voler La Vedette unchanged at 14/1 although she still has the option of the David Nicholson Mares’ Hurdle at the Festival.”
